From the top and at the same time the Queen of the Central Mountains is the most beautiful view of the world.

Svrchní horninové "obaly" byly v důsledku miliony let trvající eroze odplaveny řekou Labe do Německa a dál. Velmi cenné jsou zejména Národní přírodní rezervace Lovoš, Milešovka, Oblík, Raná a Sedlo. Správa CHKO České středohoří sídlí v Litoměřicích. The Protected Landscape Area of Czech Central Mountains was declared 19.3. 1976 and is situated between Louny and Česká Lípa on the territory of 7 districts of northern Bohemia and is naturally divided by the river Elbe. With it´s area of 1063 km2 it is the second largest protected area in Czech. The highest point is the peak of Milešovka (836.5 m above sea level) and the lowest is the level of the Elbe in Děčín (121.9 m above sea level). For Central Bohemian Mountains there are typical impressive conical shapes of hills, which are actually the original magmatic filling of local volcanoes. Upper rock "covers" have been swept away by the Elbe River to Germany and beyond due to millions of years of erosion. If we wanted to imagine the height of the local peaks at that time, we would have to add up to several hundred meters high... The territory of the Protected Landscape Area of České středohoří is very diverse from a geological point of view. The most frequently represented rocks are tertiary volcanoes and second-class chalk sediments. An important stage of the geological development of the area was the Mesozoic period. The area was flooded by a shallow sea, with sediments of a height of up to 1,000 meters. The most important period of geological development was the younger Tertiary epoch when volcanic activity took place. A total of 43 small-scale protected areas are declared in the PLA. Very valuable are the National Nature Reserves Lovoš, Milešovka, Oblík, Raná and Sedlo. The PLA Administration of České středohoří is located in Litoměřice.
