M	Milan Samarek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tak jako mnohé jiné kostely, tak i tento měl historii občas hodně pohnutou, dramatickou, bolestivou. Nejenže jej postihl požár, to bývá u kostelů velmi časté. Po něm se obvykle nedostávalo prostředků i lidí k obnově. Což je i zdejší případ. Ale tento vyškovský kostel zažil zkázu od husitských vojsk. To bylo v roce 1433 a popelem lehlo i město. Zhruba o 200 let později se totéž opakovalo, tentokrát v podání Švédů. Stavba pobořena, cennosti ukradeny (pochopitelně do dnešních dnů nevráceny - inu, vítěz bere vše). Pro ilustraci uvádím malou ukázku z tehdejší kroniky: Tím způsobem po dva dny 9. a 10. listopadu loupeno bylo a kostelu našemu od kacířů a zlotřilých lidí velká škoda učiněna jest. Všechna roucha kostelní uchvácena byla, oltáře obrány dohola, svatostánek vypáčen, poněvadž doufali najíti tam stříbrné ciborium, varhany sotva dostavěné byly z části pokažené, dva kalichy se stříbrnými konvičkami byly ukradeny. Doufám, že se mnou budeš souhlasit, když kostelu a lidem okolo něj popřeji už jen vždy sluníčkové dny. Like many other churches, this one had a very turbulent, dramatic, painful history at times. Not only was he hit by fire, it is very common in churches. After him, there were usually not enough funds and people to rebuild. Which is also the case here. But this Vyškov church experienced destruction from Hussite troops. It was in 1433 and the city was reduced to ashes. About 200 years later, the same thing happened again, this time by the Swedes. Building demolished, valuables stolen (of course not returned to this day - well, the winner takes everything). To illustrate, I give a small excerpt from the chronicle of that time: In this way, for two days on November 9 and 10, our church was plundered by heretics and villainous people. All the garments of the church were taken away, the altars gone down, the tabernacle lifted, because they hoped to find the silver ciborium, the organ barely finished was partly broken, two goblets with silver teapots were stolen. I hope you will agree with me when I always wish the church and the people around it sunshine days.

Visited August 15, 2019. Very nice trip to this castle, a pity that it is open only on certain days, other days are under construction work on repair.
