★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drnovice u Vyškova. Chráněná památka - farní kostel svatého Vavřince. Tato raně barokní stavba pochází z druhé poloviny 17. století. Z malého návrší shlíží na obec pod sebou. Okolo kostela je křížová cesta a další mobiliář. To, co nevidíme jsou dvě hrobky pod kostelem. Tam byly ukládány ostatky kněží, v té druhé jsou ostatky majitele panství barona Jana Mundyho s rodinou. Vstupy ke hrobkám jsou zazděny.
A ještě vzpomenu patrona sv. Vavřince. Památky na něj lze dnes nalézt po celém světě, jen v Čechách a na Moravě je tomuto světci zasvěceno asi 160 kostelů a kostelíků.
Drnovice u Vyškova. Protected monument - parish church of St. Lawrence. This early Baroque building dates from the second half of the 17th century. From a small hill it looks down on the village below. There is a Stations of the Cross and other furniture around the church. What we don't see are two tombs under the church. The remains of priests were kept there, in the second are the remains of the owner of the estate, Baron Jan Mundy and his family. The entrances to the tombs are walled up.
And I will remember the patron saint St. Lawrence. Today, monuments to it can be found all over the world, only in Bohemia and Moravia about 160 churches and churches are dedicated to this saint.
