My dad was an altar boy here. For this reason, I was there several times during the turn and filmed. It is a pity that the church is not well looked after.

Počátky trutnovského hlavního kostel spadají do období založení města, kdy pražský biskup Jan III. z Dražic ve své listině z 1. května 1260 vymezil hranice farnosti. Majestátní kostel Narození Panny Marie je dílem vídeňského stavitele Leopolda Niedereckra. Jde o pozdně barokní stavbu s klasicistními a rokokovými prvky. The beginnings of Trutnov's main church fall into the period of foundation of the city, when the Prague bishop Jan III. of Dražice defined the parish boundaries in his deed from May 1, 1260. The majestic Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is the work of the Viennese builder Leopold Niedereckr. It is a late Baroque building with classicist and rococo elements. The characteristic silhouette of the church is formed by a massive 64-meter high tower with an onion-like tip. The main altar of the temple dates back to 1784, and there are nine side altars on the perimeter of the Classical temple hall. The pulpit is decorated with religious reliefs from 1864. Since 1991 the church has four new bells, and in 1994 several years of general reconstruction of the church were completed.

Nádherná barokní stavba Trutnova, jejíž počátky sahají do období založení města.
Beautiful Baroque building Trutnov, whose origins date back to the foundation of the city. In 1505 -1521 the church underwent a reconstruction, the present appearance is from 1756-1782, combining elements of late Baroque, Classicist and Rococo. The chapel in the former sacristy adjacent to the church is dedicated to God's mercy.

Beautiful Roman Catholic church built in the Baroque style. Inside the church, it is worth noting the main altar dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and a large unique organ placed on the choir of the church. Behind the church, towards the town hall, from the elevated car park, there is a view of a part of the town along the Úpa river.

Nice church. It is a pity that the tours of the tower are only at special events. The entrance to the church is also not always free, only a view through the grille in the side entrance.
