Kaple sv. K jejímu obnovení a znovuvysvěcení došlo až v roce 1811. Dne 27. Chapel of st. John the Baptist was built on the top of Janský Hill on the initiative of Jan Mořic Dreyschock in 1714. It was damaged during the Silesian Wars, especially during the fire of the city in 1745. In its vicinity even simple defensive positions were built. In 1782, the Chapel was consecrated by the order of Emperor Joseph II. and sold to private hands. Its renewal and re-consecration took place in 1811. On 27 June 1866, fighting between Prussian and Austrian troops took place around and inside the chapel, and traces of fighting are still visible today. In the years 1879–80, after the military memorials were removed from the disturbed city cemetery, the surroundings of the Janská Chapel became a military cemetery from the 1866 war. Oject also houses a small military museum.

The original chapel stood here as early as 1712. However, it burned down in 1745 and was demolished by soldiers after its restoration. It was not until 1811 that it was reopened and consecrated. The chapel witnessed the battle of Trutnov in 1866 and the fighting took place in it. Today there is a small military museum.
