Really surprising place. We found it walking around IP Pavlova and decided to try it on the weekend. According to my Russian speaking girlfriend the dishes are a variety of former soviet countries and I found them quite delicious, and ridiculously cheap! For real prices are surprisingly low. Only downsides - for me-: we went in the late evening and because is under the street level the place was rather hot. No A/C or vents so probably better to go during winter. Also the menu and the waitress seem to only speak Czech and Russian, makes sense given the location and type of food but for someone like me with limited Czech skills is a pity as the food is really great.

Had walked by this restaurant many times and finally went in. Waiter spoke English, could not have been nicer. Had soup, dumplings, pie, and 2 waters only 215 Koruna (around $9 USA). Very tasty meal, quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

My roommate is Russian. She wanted to introduce me to traditional Russian food, so she brought me to this restaurant and she was also the first to visit. We ordered fried bread, potatoes&mushroom sidedishes and reddish beef soup. It was really suit. Furthermore it was good because it wasn't salty, but I wanted to eat a little more. Time passed and I was quite full. It was the right amount. If I go out again I want to try another dishes that she recommended. Second visit day. I was a little bit disappointed because this time I ordered square fried bread it tasted different. It was gleasy, sour and salty. Last time I ordered it oval and the contents are the same as chicken, However It was nice that it was light, not sour, and not salty. There was only one staff and the oval was out of stock. Also, fried breast chicken was so so. I should have ordered the same thing as the first day.

Borsch was VERY tasty and a portion was huge. I felt like I was at home, the taste was so authentic. I highly recommend it! Vareniki were also great, pelmeni were a bit heavy for me. What was good is that sour cream was already included. Tarhun was awesome:)) I was there twice and the staff was always super welcoming! A chef prepares everything with love and I can feel it! But no menu in English - this is a minus.

I'll be honest, I didn't want to leave a good review on this place so it doesn't get more popular, that's how good it is! If you like Russian cuisine, here is a great place to enjoy/try it!

Tasty Russian food!! I love their soups and dumplings. No English menu but the waiter is happy to help with the translation. Very good prices and cozy location.

Nice place and stuff. But only two vegan options on the menu (both being salads that leave you hungry). I believe russion cuisine has wider diversity of vegetable options :)
