About Cinema Svetozor

Such a nice cinema - very different from the big chains. Smaller screens and the whole experience feels more intimate. You can get beer at the small bar, there's some comfy chairs in the lobby to talk after/before the film. Cool place.

This is a good art house cinema complex, with three theatres of various sizes, a decent refreshment stand, wine bar, and some excellent art house films. European films are mostly screened with subtitles, making it a popular place for the expats of Prague. Good sound and climate control. Seniors have dramatically reduced rates on certain days. They screen a wide variety of foreign and local films, rotating screenings between the three theatres.

This is an arthouse cinema just like the Lucerna cinema opposite it. Both cinemas show movies other than of the level shooting, blasts and chases. the two passages in which the cinemas are located are also worthwhile. There are several cinema halls and the audience is generally of a very good standard. on the stairs you can drink or eat something using cushions and there is a serving bar and a small seating area. friendly atmosphere and nice program. downside is the less good website the website of the cinema Lucerna across the street is a lot better. the cinemas can be reached very well. both metro station and various tram stops a few meters away.

Smaller screen but an amazing experience. Completely different vibes from the mass-cinemas.

It is in the passage, you need to go down the stairs. The ticket prices are affordable. They have big screen. The sound system is good. I watched Dune with my friends. It was a long movie but it was a great movie. It was in English with Czech subtitle. Gooooo and watch a movie in there. Amazing atmosphere.?️?️?️??

I never really understood the meaning of “a cinema theatre is also an experience” until I walked in to a Kino in Prague. Especially Kino Svetozor. It is everything a classic cinema should be and it is everything a cinema going experience is said to be. It’s more of a community space than the usual multiplex-like cinemas. It’s rustic and modern at the same time. It’s got small screens that brings out the best of the theatre going experience and it’s well-thought our decor makes the whole outing worthwhile.
