The house is glued to the gate, which once served as an internat. It's one of the published photos.

Every time you can look inside the gate, it's a beautiful view of the city.

EjšíThe next gate in Domažlice has been part of the town fortification since its foundation in the 1960s. The present appearance of the lower gate is the result of a reconstruction in 1905. The Lower Gate is a prismatic tower that has four floors above the passageway.

V roce 1905 proběhla celková i když ne moc zdařilá rekonstrukce. Dvacet metrů vysoká brána s hodinovým ciferníkem má čtyři patra a bohatě profilovaný vstupní portál. The beautiful Lower Early Gothic Gate (also called Pražská - The Prague´s Gate) is the only one of three preserved main gates at the eastern end of Náměstí Míru. The gate was built in the 1360s as part of the fortifications. In front of the gate, a corridor ended with another kinda pre-gate (both demolished in 1843) was built at the end of the 15th century when the fortifications were modified. In 1905 a total but not very successful reconstruction of the gate took place. The twenty-meter-high gate with an hourly dial has four floors and a richly profiled entrance portal. The passage is arched by a cross vault. On the first floor, the thickness of the masonry is up to 3 meters, on the other floors half. The building is finished with honeycomb roof with a turret and a lantern. Unfortunately, the interior of the gate is inaccessible to the public, inter alia due to uncomfortable entry. You can see a small wicket in the tower on the inside of the walls, in the southern part of the tower. The emblem placed on the tower was granted to the city by King Vladislav II.
