Starobylý gotický kostel byl vystavěn v polovině 14. století a později přebudován ve vrcholné a pozdní gotice. V roce 1648 utrpěl po úderu blesku. Byl jím těžce poškozen a ztratil svoji gotickou klenbu. Všechny stavební práce byly dokončeny na tomto kostele až roku 1920. Uvnitř kostela je kamenná renesanční kazatelna a v lodi kostela je umístěno u zdi 15 náhrobních kamenů význačných osobností města. I was looking forward to see this amazing building, so I was even more than happy to be able to get inside. An ancient Gothic church was built in the middle of the 14th century and later rebuilt in the top and late Gothic respectively. In 1648 it suffered because of a lightning strike. It was badly damaged and lost it´s Gothic vault. All the construction works were completed until 1920. Inside there is a stone Renaissance pulpit and 15 tombstones of prominent personalities of the city are placed by the walls of main church nave.
