Dřevíč Chateau is hidden in the middle of quiet forests around Sýkořice in the Rakovník region. Originally, a hunting lodge stood in these places. At the beginning of the 18th century, the then owner of the Křivoklát estate, Prince Josef Vilém Fürstenberg (1699 - 1762), had the current Baroque chateau called Grund built - a one-storey rectangular building with a mansard roof. It was rebuilt in the 19th century. In 1929, Dřevíč, together with other property, bought the state from the Fürstenberks and made it the seat of the forest administration. Since 1991, the politician and entrepreneur Karel Schwarzenberg has been the property and residence. The facade of the castle is simple and distinctly azure blue. In the vicinity of the Dřevíč chateau there is a summer pavilion and farm buildings and nearby is the neo-baroque chapel of St. Hubert from 1899. I knew that the whole building was inaccessible to the public, but he hoped to see the castle itself, but it is hidden by vegetation, from the valley of the nature reserve Vůznice I could see through the fence only the rear farm.
