The Vůznice National Nature Reserve was declared on October 11, 1984. The subject of protection is the forest communities of Central European hills, typical of such deeply cut valleys - the ultimate goal is to achieve forest status. The area of ​​the reservation is 231.22 ha, the altitude of the area ranges from 250 to 420 m. Most of the reservation is inaccessible to the public, a marked tourist path leads only from the northeast to the ruins of Jenčov Castle from the early 14th century, where it ends. The total length of the reservation is about 4 km. The area consists of deep valleys with steep slopes and a narrow bottom. Geologically, the area is formed by rocks of the Upper Proterozoic. The prison is a stream in the Křivoklát Highlands, a left-hand tributary of the Berounka River. The most unknown and most valuable section passes through the belt of Křivoklát forests above Nižbor and is the axis of the Vůznice National Nature Reserve.
