EA Hotel Crystal Palace

Air conditioning was not working. Walls are thin as paper. Shower was almost in pieces. Good breakfast though. Overall not very good experience.

Staff was Fine but Not really friendly. But the worst was the room, I know it’s a cheap hotel but for 80$ a night it should at least be clean. Floor dirty and not clean at all.

Nice hotel, reasonable price with breakfast, very friendly and helpfull staff. No chambermaid visited tho even yo change towels or bring toilet paper. We had to aske a few times.

It's really clean and in center of the city. The staff is so kind and helpful. The breakfast was so rich. I will highly recommend this place for stay.

So, where to start. I am dissapointed, and I don´t recommend this hotel. The hotel has 4 stars, but in my opinion it doesn´t match the reality. We went to Prague for 2 nights, and we chose the hotel for good availability to city center. That is the only good point the hotel has. We had room for 2 people. There was only 1 chair, 1 glass, 1 night table, 1 night lamp for 2 people. On their website, it is said that there is a minibar. It contained only some waterbottle, and peanuts. There was a torn curtain. It seemed like the room was cleaned long time ago. A floor wasn´t vacuumed (I found some black hairs there), there were a lot of dust on the table, bed and on the phone. A walls also looked very bad. I found hairs and dust on the doorframe in the bathroom (photos below). A floor in the bathroom also didn´t look very clean. On the website there is written, that the rooms are designed. I don´t know who designed only one little shelf just above the toilet. My toothbrush almost fell down. There were soap containers, but guess what. There were both empty. We also wanted to have a bath. No possible. Hot water was rusty (it is not well seemed in the picture :/) And for the last, it was really problematic to connect to wifi A breakfast was good. There were a lot to choose something. The eggs were delicious. What I didn´t like was the breakfast room. It was small and we had to have breakfast with strangers on 1 table. Some people were also waiting to have a table. On the reception, they also lent us some old umbrellas, when it was raining. Better than nothing.

We got a room which had broken door lock. The lock was falling out. The walls were dirty, like nobody has taken care of it for a few months. There were many dirty white stains over entire carpet. There was a grid on the ceiling which had like 1.2m and it was right above the bed, which made us very uncomfortable (anything could pop up from there). When we wanted to take a shower, the door was falling off, so we had to shower without closing the door. The toilet was making weird noises for the entire night, and it was so loud and uncomfortable to listen to. There wasn’t any soap for the shower, only shower caps which we do not use at all. The sink didn’t have any filter, it was just an empty dark hole. We were really surprised to found out, that the room doesn’t have any light on the ceiling. It was so dark that we had to light up every lamp in the room. The water bottles were unfairly expensive so we couldn’t get any drink and felt dehydrated. The breakfast was pretty alright, it didn’t have such a big selection but it was plenty. The lights along the stairs didn’t light up so we had to walk in dark. The only positive thing about this hotel is its placement close to the square. Overall, we were dissapointed. We are sorry, but we do not recommend this hotel unless its really neccesary.

Rooms were small, dated, and dirty. Friends had no shower curtain in their room but mine had one - the bottom third of it was dirty and torn. There was no light in my hallway.
