EL CENTRO - Elcentro.cz

EST. 1999

Restaurant El Centro was founded in 1999 as first spanish and central american restaurant in Prague by Radek Neruda and his wife Norma Lam de Neruda. The beginings of the restaurant were very humble, but as time went by it found it's strong position in the portfolio of Prague restaurants. One of its advantages is it's posision at the heart of Prague at the Lesser town just five minutes from Charles bridge. EL Centro, with it's carefully chosen selection of tasty tapas, renowned paella, soups and guatemalan specialities, became a place where people like to return.

Fantastic food, drinks, atmosphere, staff. Everything was perfect. The best margarita I've ever had. Everyone was very cheerful, friendly and polite. We had a starter, main course, dessert and drinks all recommended by the owner, and he did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill, for all we had, the money for value ratio is off the charts! We plan to make this the first restaurant we go to the next time we're in Prague.

Food we incredible and authentic. The owner is from Guatemala, her husband was our driver from the airport to our hotel! Very nice man, he provides tour guides and day trips to cities and towns around Prague. If that is something that interests you come here for a great meal and then ask his wife for his information. If you plan to visit the Petrin tower and walk all the way back down into town El Centro is only a block away! Will be back in a few days no question!

Really nice restaurant, especially sitting at terrace. It is a Guatemalan/Spanish restaurant. We ordered some starters and 2 paellas for 4 people. It was sufficient and and really good. The prices are a bit spicy but it has a nice atmosphere overall.

Family owned business -- Dona Norma is such a sweet lady ------ -Tried Beef hamburger with fried cassava, Pepian, Hilachas and Starters (Potatoes with chorizo) - Food taste - 10/10 original and tasty dishes representing the Mexican cuisine - Food quantity - 7/10 The burger will be nice with a small side salad, the portions are not very big - Place 10/10 - in the center of Prague. They also have a separated room dedicated to meetings and it is nice to be in there, far from the crowded restaurant, especially during covid - Payment - cash or by card - Toilet - clean - Staff - speaking Spanish, English, Czech - pleasant experience I will return for the Beef burger with corn flour bun and fried cassava - extremely delicious!!!
