People that work here "seem" polite and easy going. Yet the whole system here is really against the foreigner, and its not democratic.

I don’t understand why, at a FOREIGN police station, you have almost zero English speaking staff or if you do, they are incredibly unwilling to help unless you bring a Czech person with you. Disgusting awful people.

Definition of rudeness. Even they can speak English, they refuse to speak. I was lucky that i could move to another country after 2 years.

I regret a moment I chose this city to live in as an international student. rude english speaking staffs, after you give all your documents they wont give you official letter stating they've received all the required documents... after a few months you'll receive a letter that your application is not complete,, then you don't have anything to prove that you handed in everything. if any of these staffs are unhappy about working there, they better quit their job and give it to someone more interested in helping and guiding """"FOREIGNERS"""" and willing to speak english. why as a student I have to pay to a translator for just a few moments and I dont want to share my confidential informations to anyone except officials... really a bad experience and already traumatized in this city in regards to this behaviour towards "international students". I hope some official persons read my comment and take it into consideration for future encounters.

Unfortunately there is no way to rate this under 1 star, because that would be appropriate. Last time I went there I was 'welcomed' by a Karen in a rage fit, yelling at me for 15min straight and throwing my papers up in the air, presumably because I couldn't speak Czech to a level she considered 'good'. In any normal country this would be considered unacceptable and the lady in question would be fired. I have not encountered such a behaviour anywhere else in the world and I've lived in places like New Zealand and China. I subsequently contacted my embassy and they recommended me to use a translator next time, not just because of the language impediment, but because the ladies at these kinds of offices feel a kind of fatigue and/or repulsion in dealing with foreigners. I am not going to follow the embassy's recommendation. If people feel their job is repulsive, they should consider doing something else. Discrimination and abuse of function are crimes even under the Czech law. One more incident like the one I dealt with and I am going to sue and make it public everywhere back home. This is a very nice reflection of the manner in which you are often treated in Plzen as a foreigner.
