Doporučuji! Apart from the chateau, Frýdlant offers a visit to two interesting museums and an ascent to the tower of the beautiful town hall. We learned everything at the information center where you can buy tickets. I recommend!

Powstało i rozrastało się w cieniu noszącego tę samą nazwę zamku, który strzegł szlaku handlowego prowadzącego do Łużyc. To miasto, gdzie niemal na każdej uliczce można poczuć oddech historii. Blisko ośmiotysięczny Frýdlant zachował wiele ze swojego piękna i średniowiecznej atmosfery, która wciąż przyciąga turystów na organizowane tu nietradycyjne imprezy kulturalne, na przykład mające ogólnokrajową rangę Letnie Warsztay Jazzowe Karla Velebnego czy niepowtarzalne Święto Wallensteina, podczas którego po mieście maszerują żołnierze w renesansowych kostiumach, na rynku odbywa się historyczny jarmark, a na okolicznych łąkach inscenizacje historycznych bitew. W samym mieście w ramach aktywnego wypoczynku można korzystać ze stadionu zimowego i boiska do piłki nożnej, sali gimnastycznej, wysokiej klasy kortów tenisowych z nawierzchnią z mączki ceglanej oraz wielu tras spacerowych. Zaplecze kulturalne miasta stanowią kino, biblioteka, muzeum, szopka oraz sala wystawiennicza w budynku ratusza. The town of Frýdlant stretches on both banks of the Smědá River (on the Polish side flowing as Witka) and is the natural center of the entire Frydlant headland. It arose and grew in the shadow of the same-named castle that guarded the trade route to Lusatia. It is a city where you can feel the breath of history in almost every street. The nearly 8,000-year-old Frýdlant has retained much of its beauty and medieval atmosphere, which still attracts tourists to non-traditional cultural events organized here, such as the nationwide Karl Velebny Jazz Workshop or the unique Wallenstein Festival, where soldiers in Renaissance costumes march around the city on the market square a historic fair is held, and historical battles are staged in the surrounding meadows. In the city itself, as part of active recreation, you can use the winter stadium and the football field, gymnasium, high-class tennis courts with a brick surface and many walking routes. The city's cultural facilities include a cinema, a library, a museum, a nativity scene and an exhibition hall in the town hall building. There are many shops in the city center and several restaurants offering Czech and international cuisine.
