Golden Cross Hotel

Hotel right on the square, the owner a very nice gentleman, we were for lunch and beer, for us really satisfied. The owner explained everything to us about the city and sights.

Hotel quite cool, clean rooms and hallways. Staff less helpful. Food slightly below average. They do not like to accept the included services. Adherence to the hours they write on their diet varies from day to day. Several daily poppy seed buns are offered in one piece and bean soup for 5 consecutive days. We did not feel good about our stay

The equipment of the restaurant is older (chairs with a peel and the place setting also has something behind it), but the operation was very nice and attentive. We were served by foreigners who sometimes did not understand, but were willing. The food matched the price. Of course, nothing for the discerning diner, but I'm unlucky to choose food and I enjoyed it here. When I left, I walked around the kitchen, which was spacious and clean, as did the cookbooks. I was not attracted to restaurants outside, but I'm glad I didn't make the first impression. All right for me.

I can't recommend the hotel to anyone. One star is just for location. The reception staff is incompetent and unable to communicate politely with the customer. In the case of the equipment and appearance of the rooms, one is not pleasantly surprised. A broken mirror, torn sheets, broken cabinets (in which one does not even want to put clothes), a hair dryer with a broken and burnt cord, torn seats and armchairs and much more. If you order a voucher with "dinner included", you have the option to order for 120 per person and pay the rest (I note that most meals are more expensive). As for wellness, although it is included in the price of the voucher, we were told that from 5 pm to 9 pm it is still occupied, so we did not have the opportunity to use it. The only pleasant thing was the helpful and kind behavior of the restaurant and lounge staff on the ground floor. The Vyhlídka restaurant, located on the 5th floor, has only a beautiful view. The staff does not catch up even when one table is occupied and when ordering a menu where dessert is included, they will announce that the customer must ask for the dessert separately, and if you do not receive it, you will still pay the full amount for the menu. We are very sorry for the experience and we have never encountered the approach of the receptionist and the staff of the Vyhlídka restaurant.
