Již od poloviny 12.století zde stával dřevěný kostelík, který byl v 1.polovině 18.století nahrazen kamenným. Starý a nový hřbitov je plný nádherných náhrobků a sama novorenesanční brána je překrásné dílo zdejších kameníků. Památník Jana Žižky je skvělým dílem z roku 1873 a připomíná jeho vítězství v bitvě v roce 1423, kterou svedl již slepý. Stojí na místě Gothardské tvrze. Nedaleký 12,4 metrů vysoký Riegrův památník je dominantou parku plného plastik. Místo je to nádherné, plné klidu, ale vhodné i pro aktivní trávení času. This remarkable place Hořice is such a local Slavin and there are many beautiful monuments. Since the mid-12th century there stood a wooden church, which was in the first half of the 18th century replaced by stone. The old and new cemetery is full of beautiful tombstones and the Neo-Renaissance gate itself is a beautiful work of local stonemasons. The Jan Žižka Memorial is a great work from 1873 and commemorates his victory in the battle of 1423, which he had already seduced by the blind. It stands on the site of Gothard Fortress. The nearby 12.4 meter high Rieger Memorial dominates the park full of sculptures. The place is beautiful, full of peace, but also suitable for active spending time.

Najdete zde jak klid tak při poutích nebo fotbalových utkáních i zábavu na celý den. Vřele doporučuji. Gothard Hill is one of the few places I like to return to often when I want to chat with friends or even clear my head. Here you will find peace and pilgrimage or football matches as well as entertainment for the whole day. I warmly recommend.
