Im Zentrum von der Altstadt einen ruhigen Ort mit Skulpturen zu finden, ich hätte es in dieser überfüllten Stadt nicht für möglich gehalten. Durch eine Zollstelle, an der sämtliche Waren bis Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts verzollt wurden enstand Ungelt (um Geld). Hier findet man den Renaissance-Granovsky-Palais mit Arkadenumgang.

An impressive Renaissance palace with an arcade gallery on the first floor of the courtyard faces the Ungelt area. If you come from the side of the Týn Temple, you will see it behind the entrance gate to the left. The palace was built by Jakub Granovský of Granov. The land was acquired by the decree of Emperor Ferdinand I. in 1558, when the emperor undertook to pay the servant to open and close the Ungelt gate. The building is one of the most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Prague. The paintings on the first and second floor created by the Italian master Francesco Terzio by the evenoscura technique. The paintings depict allegorical characters, and the biblical motifs (Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Lot and his daughters, Abraham sacrificing Isaac, Joseph and Putifarka, Samson and Dalila, David and Betsabé) are captured on the second floor. Působivý renesanční palác s arkádovým ochozem v prvním patře dvorního průčelí stojí v areálu Ungeltu. Pokud do něj vejdete ze strany od Týnského chrámu, uvidíte jej za vstupní branou po levé straně. Palác vystavěl správce Ungeltu Jakub Granovský z Granova. Pozemek získal dekretem samotného císaře Ferdinanda I. v roce 1558, když se císaři zavázal k povinnosti platit služebníka k otvírání a zavírání bran Ungeltu. Stavba patří k nejkrásnějším renesančním palácům v Praze. Malby v prvním a druhém patře vytvořil technikou chiaroscura italský mistr Francesco Terzio. Malby znázorňují alegorické postavy a ve druhém patře jsou zachyceny biblické motivy (Adam a Eva, Kain a Ábel, Lót a jeho dcery, Abrahám obětující Izáka, Josef a Putifarka, Samson a Dalila, David a Betsabé).
