Jednota měla v té době 35 členů z nich 12 cvičilo. Návrh Sokolovny vyšel z užší soutěže v říjnu roku 1927 a během zimních měsíců byl propracován do konečné podoby. Se stavbou bylo započato v dubnu 1928. Sokolovna byla dokončena a sokolu a veřejnosti předána 28. října 1928. The beginnings of the "Sokol" unity in Chlumec nad Cidlinou are put in the year 1883.
