Zřícenina je moc pěkná, lesy kolem zjara bohatě vyzdobené květy. Blízký železniční viadukt i unikátní transborder stojí za shlédnutí.
The ruin is very nice, forests around the richly decorated blooms. The nearby railway viaduct and the unique transborder are worth seeing.

An extensive ruin can be found on the rock headland above the Lužická Nisa river near Liberec, in it´s part called Machnín. The castle, founded in the first third of the 14th century, served as a fortified seat and administrative center for the nearby Bieberštejn estates. The once famous castle, which ought to oversee the mining and processing of iron ores and protect mines for precious metals, is now remembered only by a massive perimeter wall, impressive remnants of two towers and a wall of a residential building. For the first time it is mentioned in the year 1357 in the charter, in which Bedřich of Bibrštejn promises loyalty to King Charles IV. In 1433 the castle was conquered and occupied by the Hussites, after the subsequent property disputes, it was inhabited in the first half of the 16th century. The Purchase Contract of 1558 already mentions it as desolate. The southern part of the wall fell into the valley in 1882. There is a nature reserve around the ruins.

A beautiful place to relax, view and take pictures from interesting angles. Hamerstein's walk is comfortable, even if it goes down a steep hill. It is great that just below the debris there is a train stop from which the ruin is about 300 meters. I recommend for all who want to relax and relax
