Wonderful place to chill with benches, clean grass, a lot of dogs, children etc. Come in the morning before 9 for a private relaxing yoga session or whatever

This park is maintained regularly by the local council in Vrsovice Namesti. It's a small park, but excellent during the summer to go and relax in the sun. There's a small beer outlet selling food and drinks, right at the entrance to a large sports center - indoor/outdoor football and tenis. There's a fair number of park benches, but bring a blanket as you're probably going to have to sit on the grass. Dog walkers love to come through here, but there's not a lot of dog dirt around considering what Prague is like for this! There are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and potraviny's all around this area. If you can't find what you're looking for on site then you can walk 30 seconds in any direction to find something you'll like. There is a school to the east of the park, with another outdoor football pitch. A college to the west with numerous students who take advantage of the park at lunch and breaks, especially in the summer time. The only down side is that once night fall comes, i.e. when it's dark, there appears to be a small group of drug addicts/alcoholics that congregate in one area (the number is small, around 3-5 at anyone time). That said, during the day time and especially in the summer, it's free from any troubles. The tram number 22 stops south of the park, a 2 min walk (even less) and there are plenty of buses that stop to the north of the park. There's an onsite toilet as part of the sport/beer outlet center and there's also a Tesco express just across from the North-Eastern side of the park - so you can pick up your groceries after lounging in the sun all day. In conclusion, if you're looking for a nice small park, that gets slightly busy when the sun is out but is quiet and secluded enough for you to enjoy the sun/study/book, then this is a nice park for you to use.

Lovely park in the middle of residential area. If you're planning on bringing your dog with you take him/her for a walk first as the central grassy area is used for picnics and sunbathing in the summer.

Small, clean park with a little playground and exercise area. Unfortunately, the playground has no swings or even a larger slide. The park is pretty much closed in by buildings and a high hedge so you don’t get much of a view from inside the park itself. There is a piano that it available for anyone to play during the summer months. If you’re lucky, you might catch someone who can actually play, playing. This really does add a nice bit of atmosphere on a sunny afternoon.

It is a nice quiet place for families with small babies. Its locatiob near the heart of the capital and only few steps from main Vinohrady promenade is unique. You can cross the park with a stroller in many directions. Thete are small playgrounds and a bug hall next to the park. No public parking but easily aproachable with the public transport.

Herold´s park with an area of 1.5 hectares is divided into two parts - the reconstructed half under Kodaňská Street and the area around Vršovice Chateau. They are named after Josef Herold, an important mayor of Vršovice in the years 1884-1886, who is also commemorated by the local monument. In the 14th century there were vineyards on the site of the park, part of which was owned by the Teutonic Knights. In 1842, Jindřich Rangheri bought the place (the local chateau is called "Rangherka" after him). He planted a silk orchards here to make silk. After his death, the orchards disappeared and the land was sold to small farmers. In 1882, the grounds with the chateau were bought by the village of Vršovice and the derelict orchard was converted into a public park.
