It is the oldest building in the city. According to the finding of the inscription stone, it was to be built in 1134. There are 5 tombstones from the 16th century on the outer walls of the church. Around the presbytery are Empire monuments from Suchard's workshop dating from around 1800. There was a cemetery around the church, which was abolished at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The church has been preserved in a simplified form in the city emblem.

The oldest building in Chlumec nad Cidlinou is set in a beautifully maintained park, which used to be a cemetery, which worked here until the beginning of the 20th century. Several old tombstones are located on the walls of the church and the history of the cemetery is reminiscent of a plaque on the wall near the church and a few steps from the church standing Zubatovská Chapel, the tomb of the postmaster of Chlumec. The church building is a relatively inconspicuous austere building, which we find the first mention in 1358, but under the building are foundations dating back to the Romanesque-Gothic times. The church underwent several modifications, from the 19th century comes a wooden tower. It is a beautiful place Chlumec, which is worth seeing. I recommend

V dnešní uspěchané době není na škodu si chvilku sednout a popřemýšlet kam se to všechno ubírá, nemusíte být věřící, dveře do kořán tu mají všichni slušní lidé.
In today's hectic time it is no harm to sit down for a while and think about where it all goes, you do not have to be a believer, all the decent people have a door to their roots.

A remarkable (albeit at first sight inconspicuous) church of Romanesque-Gothic origin is the oldest building in the city and its depiction is also part of the town's emblem. The first written mention of the church dates back to 1358, when it is referred to as a parish church. However in 1975 older Romanesque foundations were found with a help of a measuring probe. The present appearance probably dates to times after the Hussite wars. It is a single-nave building enclosed by a triangular presbytery, the western transverse nave was added in the 19th century. The wooden tower also comes from this time. The interior of the church is rather poor, the altarpiece of St. The Trinity, which depicts the original Chlumec water castle is worth mentioning. The Baroque choir dates back to the 17th century.

This is the oldest building in Chlumec nad Cidlinou. As a parish church, it is documented as early as 1358 that most of the building is Gothic. There used to be a cemetery around the church. Very interesting are the preserved old tombstones by the church wall. This place is worth a stop when visiting the city.
