★ ★ ★ ★ ★ První písemná zmínka o vsi pochází z roku 1294, v té době patřila ke statkům pražského purkrabství. V dalších stoletích se tu často měnili majitelé. Pojmenování obce je odvozeno od jména majitele původního dvora Hostúna. Dnes tu žije přibližně 1 400 obyvatel, těžko ale odhadnout skutečný počet, protože díky výhodné poloze poblíž Prahy přibývá rodinných domů.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1294, at that time it belonged to the estates of the Prague burgrave's office. In the following centuries, the owners changed frequently. The name of the village is derived from the name of the owner of the original court named Hostún. Today about 1,400 inhabitants live here, but it is difficult to estimate the actual number, because thanks to the convenient location near Prague, more and more family houses being built around.
