★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel with an attached conference room, gift shop and cafe. All rooms overlook the castle.
Walls are thin so expect to hear your neighbors quite well. The reception offers a welcome shot of honey mead which was a nice touch.
Buffet breakfast had a decent selection of cereals, cold cuts, yogurt and warm food as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a very pleasant stay in Karlstejn. Staff made us feel very welcome, rooms are large and very clean. Even with our two dogs we felt very welcome. The only issue is that we had cold water in our shower. We mentioned it after the first night, but obviously the problem could not be fixed, because also the second morning we had to shower with cold water. But all together we had a wonderfull stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed two nights and would again. It was a good location to explore the castle or the area around Karlstejn. The Staff was very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The room was big enough and tastefully furnished. They even had a small cupboard with some toys for our kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a bit dissappointed considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews. None of the staff spoke english, which made it hard to communicate. The rooms were nice, but the breakfast was basic. The proximity to the castle is convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely small hotel. Located in the centre with their own parkingplace (you can drive to them eventhough the signs say it is prohibited for cars in the village).
The staff is very friendly and they serve a nice breakfast (good coffee!)
On the groundfloor is a large souvenir shop. Rooms are small and clean (bit noisy, probably thin walls) with filled minibar. I recommend this place.
