★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good place to stay, a small family hotel with a very nice restaurant. I think there is no better restaurant in all Znojmo. The owners have their own vineyard and so you can taste (and shop) their excellent wines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their restaurant is a place you want to avoid at all cost. Quality of food is substandard at best (‘medium rare’ filet was dried out to death, duck breast dry too, salat tasteless), staff makes you feel unwelcome, wine likely served on rations only - they don’t even ask if you want to try more!).
I have heard lots of positive things, but this was a bitter disappointment.

The waitresses in the restaurant were literally DRINKING on the job!
In their tipsiness, they were RUDE, uncouth, and boorish.
It took 40(!) min just to get a menu.
The food—when it finally arrived an hour later—was lukewarm, bland, and way overpriced.
Don’t come here to eat; in fact, don’t come here at all!
The personnel were the rudest i’ve ever met !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am reviewing hotel restaurant, not the hotel (as did not stay there). Restaurant had been recommended, and did not disappoint (ate here two evenings in a row). Dishes very well prepared, with great wine pairing. Great meat dishes. Compared to similar level of food in Prague, prices low. Staff friendly and professional.
