Friendly staff, healthy food and relaxing. Includes Spa. Fascinating images in the hotel foyer that celebrate its history as a college for Butlers (Majordomo). Great view over Zlin and forest walks behind hotel, lovely in autumn.

Preserved architecture of Tomas Bata from its exterior where you can find a clinic for reproductive medicine and a cozy restaurant with a diverse menu. I tried a several meals from Czech and International Cuisine and the most delicious for me was a saffron risotto with smoked salmon. Subtle and balanced taste. I love to come back.

Excellent staff, food and services. High location overlooking the city if on that side vs the forest. Very safe location also being above the local police station. Town is easy to walk to downhill, but may want to cab your return. Lots of shops, restaurants, and pharmacy near by if requiring forgotten odds and ends. The room had a stocked mini fridge with non and alcohol drinks for a fee. Usual toiletries plus full size toothbrushes and small toothpaste in the loo. Very clean and modern facility.

I have to say that the customer service at the hotel is outstanding. The front desk people are very accommodating and quick with a response for any request. However, I have to say that when we came in 2017 I would have given it 5 stars. When I returned in Sept 2019, that rating dropped to 4. When I returned again in Jan 2020 it was noticeable that the hotel was not as clean as before with very obvious dust bunnies and broken baseboards etc. The housekeeping staff were obnoxiously loud at 800am. I just returned from Zlin last week and I have to say, if I wasn't attending the clinic attached to the hotel I would stay somewhere else. It's really going downhill. My room had obvious mould on the bathroom ceiling and by the entry door. There was dust that was VERY obvious throughout and there were ants in my room. I'm not sure if the restaurant is considered part of the hotel but that has also gone downhill. The scrambled eggs used to be something we raved about, on my latest trip I would lift the lid and it literally looked like slop. It was liquid egg mixed with some cooked egg. The choices for half board were not appetizing at all. Again, the staff is very nice and super accommodating but the food is not good.

Five stars for the clinic and four stars for the hotel. So, let me explain. It is indeed a four star hotel with services as such. I would give 5 star rating if the furniture and the bathroom would have been in more than good condition. There is little phonic insulation of the walls also. But otherwise perfectly clean, modern rooms and comfortable beds, extremely good WiFi, good breakfast (you can order dinner too), a very good SPA, very pleasant and respectful, professional employees, free parking for guests. Would I stay again ? Yes, if I have business with the clinic, otherwise, I really don't know but I kinda like the place so .....
