Hradiště Semín

Hradiště does not offer entry inside, only to exhibitions of ceramics and photographs (probably temporary exhibitions), ie a tour perhaps only from the outside, where nothing but the fortifications can be seen.

The Celtic fortified settlement is actually only an exhibition place - perhaps an exposition of the Bohemian Paradise, paintings and stones. When I requested a replica of the oppidum, they did not comply. So I had coffee, paid for the parking and, disappointed, went for a walk to the ponds and rocks. Nature lifted my spirits again

It looks interesting from the outside, the large reception with a rich assortment of souvenirs promised that it could be an enriching experience. In fact, we were quite surprised by 390 CZK / person. admission, but we went for it. The exhibition consisted of four parts: 1) sales exhibition of oil paintings ... we are not experts in art, but the paintings were not bad, rather slightly tacky labels with price tags and quite disparate paintings (from landscapes in the Czech Republic and abroad through a copy of a famous work to biblical scenes) 2) large format photos ... well, some really nice, for some (sorry) pity the print 3) treasures from the ground ... again something interesting was found here, but desperately missing labels about what objects, or from what time it is, a few pieces one had the feeling that he could quite easily buy them somewhere on the flea market 4) an exhibition of stones ... again the labels are only here and there, the story is missing, the geological facts and a lot of them are completely uninteresting, again easily obtainable 5) Salvatore Dalí ... as I have already written, we are not experts and this part fascinated us mainly with the label "Narration" instead of "Designs" of perfume bottles. Overall, we appreciated the toilets and friendly service the most, we will definitely not return.

It is possible to come across this Celtic oppidum along the route from Trosek to Podsemínský most, where it creates a magnificent impression from a distance. We arrived after closing, so we were pleasantly surprised that we were still allowed to walk inside the complex. The lady took care of us with the utmost care, offered refreshments, provided us with all kinds of interesting information and let us go through an exhibition of paintings / photographs / stones. Art lovers will certainly appreciate the works from famous to lesser-known artists. We could also take a look at the shooting range and make an appointment. The price is reasonable for my taste, but unfortunately due to our late arrival we tried to be "fast" and not delay. Therefore, you need to plan everything enough in advance to fully enjoy the interior of the town. Bottom line - if someone wants to intersperse tourism with a cultural insert, I definitely recommend visiting Hradiště Semín.

A wonderful, perfect and unusual experience suitable for any generation - I really recommend visiting and going through the entire exhibition, which will preserve unforgettable memories in each. All you have to do is come to the Celtic Oppid, which looks very majestic. There are also shooting ranges and all areas, including social ones, are beautifully clean.

5 now shows under one sightseeing circuit, the beauty of stones, paintings and photographs of the Bohemian Paradise, nearly 1,000 square meters. We are excited. And going to a cultural event ... At the entrance to the parking lot and the entrance to the building is information on what there is to see (and the Celts have never read anything). I RECOMMEND When you go Centrum Babylon, so I'll probably look Babylonians :-D Or White Swan amusement park or lake with swans :-D Who visited the mineralogical collection at the National Museum for 300, - acknowledges that some pieces are not there either. Who visited the gallery in Prague with works by Salvador Dali for 390 - and knows well its not to mention a visit to the regional museum for about 100, - - In sum min. 790, -. And you know what the best part ??? Most of them have paid their taxes :-D and even how stupid we pay to the state (us) funded exhibitions and objects admission :-D You were in a nearby castle ruins and paid admission to "own" castle ??? Folks think a little. It's amazing when someone creates something for the people. And it is logical that no free ...
