You can get to the lookout by following the red tourist signs from Větruš. In the past, the salt trail led here, which transported salt from Germany to Bohemia. Just below Soudný vrch there is an inconspicuous turn to the footpath marked as Heavenly Steps. After 150 meters, the path leads from the forest to a bench on the edge of the meadow - to Humboldt's lookout. It was named after the famous German naturalist and traveler Alexander von Humpoldt, who visited this area of ​​the Bohemian Central Mountains several times. To return to Větruš would be cowardice. I have a tip for you for a wonderful trip that will not take more than 3-4 hours. When you return to the salt path on the footpath and you climb another approx. 300 meters along the red road, you will come to a crossroads where you will turn green. After that, you will walk in the shade of trees (so the route is suitable even on a hot summer day) to Masaryk's locks. From them it is a short walk to Střekov with amazing views. You can return to the center of Ústí via the Střekov train station.
