Hvězdárna se nachází v 5. nadzemním podlaží v budově knihovny v Jiráskově ulici a bývá otevřena při speciálních příležitostech jako jsou pozorování nevšedních astronomických úkazů. Od ledna 2018 ji spravuje Městská knihovna Tábor. Provoz knihovna zajišťuje ve spolupráci s Hvězdárnou Františka Pešty ze Sezimova Ústí.
That's what I call a great combination of two beneficial institutions in one building! The astronomical observatory is located on the 5th floor of the library building in Jiráskova Street and is open on special occasions such as observing unusual astronomical events. Since January 2018 it has been administered by the Municipal Library of Tábor. The library operates it in cooperation with the František Pešta Observatory from Sezimovo Ústí.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skvělé vyprávění o hvězdách a vesmíru od člověka, který má toto jako koníčka, nebot město do tohoto bádání neinvestuje. Viděli jsme Venuši, Saturn a Mars a další spoustu hvězd a souhvězdí. Jelikož je tato prohlídka večer a v noci, je třeba být odpočatý, neboť čím vice noci, tím více k videni. Vstupné se neplatí, ale pro ty, kteří chtějí jen ze zvědavosti na "kukačku" je zbytečné chodit.
A great story about the stars and the universe from a man who has this as a hobby, because the city does not invest in this research. We saw Venus, Saturn and Mars and lots of other stars and constellations. Since this tour is evening and night, it is necessary to be rested, because the more nights, the more to see. Admission is not paid, but for those who just out of curiosity to "cuckoo" is useless to go.
