I have never seen such an insanely marked info center. One has to go to the municipal office and then there are no signs on the individual doors inside where the information center is located.

Kamýk nad Vltavou leží v tichém a klidném údolí, obklopujícím poklidný proud Vltavy. Kamýk nad Vltavou lies in a quiet and peaceful valley, surrounding the peaceful Vltava stream. At the end of the 10th century the Přemyslids probably founded several courtyards here, including the local castle Vrškamýk with a hunting supervisor and a small settlement under the castle called Kamýk (according to the large stones or protruding rocks on the top of local hills, called Kamýk at those times). Interestingly, although you are in the heart of Bohemia, the countryside seems to be more faraway and more isolated than many border places. If you do not arrive by your own car or do not ride a river, you will definitely come to the details of the traffic at the local infocenter. On Saturday, after lunch in the middle of the season, the only direct bus to Prague passes through Kamýk. To the nearby Sedlčany timetable offered me a connection through the Knížecí in Smíchov, Prague which gives a travel time between 4 - 5 hours). By walking it was unfortunately too much on this hot summer day (over 20 km). Cheerful and loving service at the Infocenter, which tried to advise on possible accommodation, deserves praise. If you plan to visit Kamýk, maybe it's not a bad idea to stay for a few days and plan everything in advance. The stones from the nearby Vrškamýk Castle are worth seeing directly in the infocenter.
