Has English menu, which you can point to at the point of ordering, although it gets a bit rushed when the queue is long. Incredibly good value for the taste and quantity of food. Each meal has a balance of meat, vegetable and hydrocarbon, which is not common in Prague (usually lacks vegetable). Lunch time only 10am to 3pm. Cash only no credit card. The menu is varied every day, which is an added bonus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had roast pork with dumplings and cabbage. The pork was lovely. Note that there is no ambience as it’s suppose to be cheap and cheerful like a canteen. So go that for the local food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The authentic Czech dining experience. Highly affordable and tasty food. Snuggled underground hidden from plain sight, this cafeteria gives off an atmosphere unique to other places, in a good way.
I had the svíčková, hovězí, knedlík (beef sirloin served with sour cream and bread dumplings) which costed me 129 Kč (around €5) and I was filled.
The staff didn't speak much English, but English menu is available. I also got a little assistance from a couple of the customers which was very considerate of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to try out delicious but highly affordable Czech dishes! The place is a canteen-type eatery, so it’s best not to expect a restaurant ambiance. However, the service is highly efficient and friendly, and they have a menu in both English and Russian. The meals are traditional, hearty, and can be had for a really affordable price. The place is located in the basement of a shopping arcade but there are clearly-marked signs pointing to the eatery. Note: they only accept cash. Highly recommended!
