Kaple Nanebevzetí Panny Marie - Košíře

On the site of a small chapel in 1752 a new, larger, Baroque style chapel was built. Interestingly, the original building was used for the presbytery. After an extensive reconstruction, the chapel was reopened and ceremonially opened in 1999 on the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, ie on 15 August.

The Baroque church from the 17th century is the oldest sacral building in the territory of today's parish parish. Its current appearance dates from 1752, when the building was enlarged. However, the presbytery is of older origin, probably from the end of the 17th century, perhaps from the time after the great plague epidemic of 1680. Originally, the chapel served the locals, especially winemakers until 1856, when the Church of the Holy Trinity was built at the Košín parish. From the second half of the 17th century until the establishment of the parish church of the Holy Trinity, pilgrimages took place here. The chapel underwent extensive reconstruction in 1999. The chapel is in pretty good condition. I've known her for 60 years and there were times when she almost fell.
