Although, according to statistics, the Czech lands are among the most secularized countries in Europe, but at the same time they are also among the richest in the monuments of Christian art. The Hlubocko area is no exception and is also rich in Christian monuments. In addition to numerous churches and monasteries, there are a large number of so-called small sacral buildings such as chapels, the Passion of the Christ, Marian and Plague columns, statues and crosses. These objects directly symbolically mark villages, towns, small towns and the South Bohemian landscape. You will also find two examples of alcove chapels on the way to the chateau - the Chapel of St. Barbara and the alcove chapel of St. Anthony standing next to it on the slope. The area of ​​Hluboká is no exception. Besides the numerous churches and monasteries, there are a large number of so-called small sacral buildings such as chapels, Calvaries, marian and plague columns, smaller sculptures and crosses. Alcove chapel on the way to the castle Hluboká. In the chapel there is a statue of St. Antonina. Text on the chapel: "Whose heart seeks the truth of the light, who has lost peace from the mind of God and from the soul, let him remember in front of your statue here, that you are the protector of lost things. " The chapel is accessible from the road along an inconspicuous road between the surrounding bushes - a short climb.

By the road leading from the town to the castle, this alcove chapel stands on the slope on the left side. It's nice to see, the surroundings are not overgrown.
