In 1729 the chapel built a guild of miners, who mined iron ore at Buděj, according to the project of architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zajímavá barokní kaple na půdorysu pravidelného osmiúhelníku stojí jen pár metrů východně od farního kostela sv. Prokopa. Byla vystavěna v roce 1729 na popud žďárského faráře Ferdinanda Kristla cechem horníků, kteří dobývali železnou rudu u Budče. Projekt kaple vycházel ze staršího návrhu architekta Jana Blažeje Santiniho-Aichela. V roce 1847 stavba vyhořela, obnovena do původního stavu byla v roce 1871. V dnešní době bývá využívána k pořádání výstav a různých kulturních akcí. V době mé návštěvy tu probíhala výstava betlémů.
An interesting Baroque chapel on the ground plan of a regular octagon stands just a few meters east of the parish church of St. Prokop. It was built in 1729 at the instigation of Žďár parish priest Ferdinand Kristl by the guild of miners who mined iron ore near Budeč. The chapel project was based on an earlier design by architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. It burned down in 1847, but was restored to its original state in 1871. Today it is used for exhibitions and various cultural events. At the time of my visit there was an exhibition of nativity scenes.
