Beautiful chapel in a great place. View of the bright and the countryside. Fixed in 2008 but in some places the plaster is already chipped. The well-kept surroundings and benches only improve the overall impression. The older paved road leads directly to the chapel.

Chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký in Hartmanice (cadastral district Hartmanice u Poličky) in the Pardubice region is a sacral building from 1706 to 1708 in the early Baroque style, since May 3, 1958 it is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It stands on a hill (639.6 m) above the Byster brook, on the site of the former plague cemetery and the Guardian Angels chapel. The chapel was consecrated on 16 May 1708 by Antonín Bohumír Herbst, a canon at St. Vitus in Prague, until 1703 the priest in Bystrý u Poličky, in the presence of the local priest Jan Jindřich Hefft. Like the original, it was dedicated to the Guardian Angels and patrons of the Czech lands, after the canonization of John of Nepomuk in 1729, it was subsequently dedicated to the patron mentioned in the name of the chapel. The chapel has a vaulted dome, an octagonal tower with a pyramidal roof above it, a bell tower above the southern square vestibule, the bell from 1846 was originally hung in it, and in 1917 it was requisitioned for the war purposes of the then Austrian-Hungary. In 1918, a new cast steel bell of an unknown artist was placed in the bell tower. Above the entrance to the chapel in the western bar is a stone statue of St. Jan Nepomucký. On the eastern outer wall of the chapel was a sandstone sculpture of the tomb of Baroness Maria Rebecca of Harrach, born in Hohenems, owner of the Hohenems, Bystré and Kunín estates, born in 1742, who died on April 18, 1806 in Vienna and buried under the altar in the chapel. The tombstone dates from 1835, it was built by a native of Bystrý, later Lieutenant General Jan Nepomuk Kunst, then in the Bavarian Army. The central inscription plate with the crowned alliance emblem of the Harrachs and Hohenems has a frame, the text is in German, as is the tomb of Baroness Ernestina of Langet, the last owner of the Byster estate. With her death on February 22, 1868, the Hohenems family died out of the horsetail. The rectangular grave located in front of the entrance to the chapel on its western side is protected by a cast iron lattice. In front of the tomb is a kneeler with a prayer shelf. The chapel is currently shaded by mature trees, best visible from the south from the local road leading to Hartmanice from Bystré. The chapel is listed as a pilgrim, regular services are held here. It is accessible from the green tourist route of the Czech Tourists Club in the section Bystré - Hartmanice. After climbing from the valley from the Byster brook near the chapel, everyone will certainly enjoy the nice view of the countryside, in the view of both Bystré with the church and the castle in the western direction, and the landscape from the north to Baldský vrch nad Jedlovou.
