The Baroque church from 1674 was built at the expense of Bernard Ignác of Martinice for the Theatine Order according to the plans of one of the top architects, perhaps Carl Lurag. The single-nave rectangular building with a semicircular presbytery was furnished and consecrated in 1697. The main altar decorated with a painting of the Virgin Mary with fourteen st. helpers dates from 1725. Together with the loret, completed at the end of the 17th century and the Marian column, they form an impressive complex and dominate the Hořovice square.
