 Beautiful, originally a Gothic church from the 14th century, and later in 1717 in Baroque style.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kostel je prý stejně starý jako zaniklý Košťál (hrad postavený kolem roku 1323 Soběhrdem z Lomnice a ze kterého dnes najdete jen nevýrazné zbytky nad Želežským potokem)... Ve věži kostela jsou zavěšeny dva zvony, ten starší pochází z roku 1378 a řadí se tak mezi vůbec nejstarší zvony v Česku.
The church is said to be as old as the extinct Košťál (the castle was built around 1323 by Soběhrdem of Lomnice and from which today you can find only insignificant remains above the Želežský potok stream) ... among the oldest bells in the Czech Republic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Malebný kostelík ve středu obce Košťálov, který toho již hodně pamatuje. Církev jakožto majitel, svůj majetek nechala chátrat i když naše babičky pravidelně přispívaly nemalé částky na údržbu a opravy. Nyní je majitelem kostela sama obec, tak jen čas ukáže, jak několik set let starou historickou památku dokáže zrekonstruovat a jak o ní i v budoucnu bude pečovat. Doufám, že lépe než církev posledních 30 let, aby byl další stovky let honosnou dominantou středu naší obce.
A picturesque church in the center of the village of Košťálov, which already remembers a lot. The church, as the owner, left its property dilapidated even though our grandmothers regularly contributed considerable sums for maintenance and repairs. Now the village is owned by the village itself, so only time will show how it can reconstruct a several hundred year old historical monument and how it will take care of it in the future. I hope better than the church of the last 30 years to be another lavish landmark of the center of our community for hundreds of years to come.
