Kostel sv. Jana Nepomuckého

The church, respectively the chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký is a beautiful, but unfortunately a bit neglected historical sacral monument in Hradec Králové. The building is located in a place called Na Hradě. Hradec Králové Castle, destroyed by the Hussites, stood in this area until the 15th century. Chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký was built by Vojtěch Schneider according to the design of an unknown architect at the time of the construction of the bishop's seminary of which it was a part, ie in the years 1709-1714. This building, with the paintings of Beuron monks that are unique in our country today (the only one after the bombing of the Emmaus Monastery in Prague), was costly repaired between 1978 and September 1988 at a cost of almost CZK 15 million and rebuilt into the Municipal Music Hall. Its capacity was stated to be at least 174 seats for listeners. At that time, an organ worth CZK 2.5 million was installed in the chapel. The vaulted basement of the chapel and the adjacent knight's hall with a cross vault were also reconstructed. Unfortunately, those who do not attend organ and chamber music concerts do not have a chance to see the interiors of this interesting building. Most Hradečáky almost don't even know about it. I do not understand why HKVS ADALBERTINUM, which uses and manages this building for the city, among other things, will not allow access to and sightseeing of this monument at least once or twice a year. Today is the night of churches and this is the only church in Hradec Králové, although not serving its original purpose, which is inaccessible to the public. The temple was reconstructed in its time for big money from public funds, but in reality the average person is forbidden to get there. And that's unfair. Buying a ticket for a concert, which I am not interested in just because of a tour of the building, seems quite inappropriate to me.
