Kostel stojí v místě, kde již ve 13.století stávala dřevěná stavba, která byla v roce 1760 nahrazena stavbou zděnou. Kolem kostela byl hřbitov, vedle kostela stojí školní budova z roku 1819, kterou navštěvoval Miroslav Tyrš.
The Baroque church, which together with the adjoining evangelical church dominates the village, is currently undergoing reconstruction. The church stands on the site of a wooden building in the 13th century, which was replaced in 1760 by a brick building. There was a cemetery around the church, next to the church there is a school building from 1819, which was visited by Miroslav Tyrš.
