Kostel sv. Šimona a Judy

Beautiful church Simon and Judy will charm you with their simple beauty, simple white building, prismatic tower. Climb the stairs to the church with me and step into another century. The church is located near the castle next to the neo-renaissance house U Micků, originally Gothic, later rebuilt in the Baroque style. His arches certainly heard many prayers, supplications, and penances.

Týnec nad Sázavou is mentioned for the first time in 1318 in connection with the name of Oldřich of Týnec. The village, however, according to experts, was much earlier. But sometimes from the 14th century the originally Gothic church comes from. In 1755, the Baroque adaptation of the building was documented, including a flat ceiling chancel. Further works are dated to 1872, when the church was equipped with a cross vault. Church of st. Simon and Jude is a single nave, enclosed by a rectangular rounded presbytery, the facade of the building is quite austere, without significant architectural elements. A prismatic tower stands at the western side of the church. A sacristy and a small anteroom were built on the north side of the ship, adjacent to the staircase.
