The late renaissance forecourt of the Kouřim Gate with a richly decorated attic from the 17th century is the only remnant of three city gates (Pražská in the west, Liblická in the east and Kouřimská in the south). On the forecourt is a stone slab with two emblems - imperial and city one - and a crown with the initial L I. This made it possible to date the origin of the slab to the reign of Leopold I. in the second half of the 17th century. A fragment of the south wall from the Prague Gate is allegedly preserved, but it is hidden under the plaster of the adjacent house.
