Budování Laviček Václava Havla je celosvětovým projektem, který inicioval velvyslanec ČR v USA Petr Gandalovič spolu s architektem a designérem Bořkem Šípkem - první lavička byla instalována v říjnu 2013 v kampusu Georgetownské univerzity ve Washingtonu.
 The bench consists of two armchairs and a table with a linden tree in the middle as a symbol of dialogue and free meeting. Jihlavská is 38th in the world. The building of Václav Havel's Benches is a worldwide project initiated by the Czech Ambassador to the USA Petr Gandalovič together with architect and designer Bořek Šípek - the first bench was installed in October 2013 on the campus of Georgetown University in Washington.
