I received a weekend stay in a pension with half board from my colleagues as a gift. So my husband and I only paid the fee for the dog, I'm glad we didn't have to pay for the stay from "our own", the disappointment might be even greater. First - communication with the pension at zero point, as I write others. There is no number anywhere, one waited a long time to reply to an e-mail or a message on FB. It is interesting that when one arrives at the place, the phone is right at the front door and even on a leaflet about Kryštofova údolí. The surroundings of the pension are beautiful, from the outside the pension looks nice, but inside it is already bad. We had room No. 1 - as I write others - hard mattresses really a mess, the owner visibly does nothing about it, even if more people complain. Another mess is the moldy and rusty bathroom. Instead of a married couple, the whole pension is now taken care of by a great grandmother, who of course is not enough on her own (but the owner will save that ...). Welcomes guests, cleans, cooks. As for the food, it's average - breakfast and dinner buffet, for dinner there were 2 soy meats, which I just do not eat, so nothing much. The photos that are presented on the web definitely do not correspond to reality. Well, I was looking forward to the sauna, it said it wouldn't work - so another disappointment. Overall, it can be seen that it goes downhill with the guest house, which is a great pity.

For Christmas, my friend and I received a voucher to stay in the pension - Weekend stay with full board, sauna included and welcome package. At the beginning I would like to point out that although we evaluate negatively, we are not demanding customers at all, but unfortunately we can not do otherwise, because the stay was a fiasco from start to finish. We have been trying to book an appointment since June, but we did not succeed until the first weekend in September. Communication with the owner is a disaster. He didn't respond much to emails. Some emails were returned undelivered. He did not answer the last one at all during August. Communication via Facebook was better. Phone number not mentioned anywhere and not communicated even after repeated requests. Later we talked to other vacationers and they confirmed the same to us. The weekend stay is more for a day and a half (check in at 5 pm, check out at 10 am). The pension is taken care of by a lady at a very advanced age, who is obviously not enough for everything alone. Sometimes it's nice (if you praise), sometimes not at all (if you need something). We came to ask if we could go to the sauna in the evening, she said, "So you couldn't. The sauna is out of order and has turned its back on us. No one bothered to apologize in advance that we would not receive the paid service we have as part of the voucher, but we were still in trouble when we came to ask about it. The next day we went to ask the lady politely for a welcome package and showed her the voucher on which it was written. The lady didn't know what the welcome package was, she said we only had a lunch package (compensation for full board) and "nothing more, nothing less" and she turned her back and went to the kitchen. The equipment of the pension is older, but relatively clean and sufficient. We rate the diet as average to below average. Beautiful photos of the food are presented on the internet, unfortunately the reality is completely different. You eat the food in the form of a buffet yourself. Breakfast poor compared to the presented photos. The homemade spread was good, but unfortunately spread on raw, unbaked pastry, which was greasy inside. Bread and rice sandwiches were also available, but unfortunately there was no more spread, only margarine. Also a little fruits and vegetables, chips, milk, tea, coffee. The next day there was again unbaked pastry, which was inedible, otherwise the spread was good. Unfortunately, we brought our own spread on the bread. Soy segedin was served for the first dinner and the gluten-free variant was buckwheat with vegetables, the soup was good. The second night was soy china, which was delicious, but the soup was rather a bad joke. Unidentifiable turbid water tasting only margarine. At a side table, a small bowl of soup circled among six people. For the third dinner (after agreement with the owner we decided to stay the third night as a replacement for the full board, which we did not receive) was a relatively good, but greasy vegetable soup. But the main course was an absolute inedible flop. I wonder if the owner tasted the meatloaf with mashed potatoes? The lady obviously has no experience with cooking vegan cuisine. I have no idea what happened that this year's reviews are so different from those of previous years, but the reality is now really different from what the previous reviews say and what is presented to us on the Internet. We give the second star for the beautiful environment of the Jizera Mountains, where the pension is located.

First of all, the idea of ​​a purely vegan guest house should be praised. And in such a beautiful place, it goes almost by itself. Mistake, it will not go by itself, as can be seen during the accommodation. The purchase of the voucher went smoothly. It was worse with ordering an appointment. Email communication lukewarm, but after emergencies we received answers that they know about us, that we have already booked, only they probably did not get an answer. They don't have a phone listed, so you have to wait for thorns to get an email reply. But in the end everything was arranged and the weekend stay could begin. Arrival on Friday after five o'clock. Beautiful nature, beautiful surroundings, log cabins everywhere, just beautiful. The guest house from the outside and the surroundings also look promising. We will be welcomed by a nice elderly lady, she will explain and show everything. So far, only a positive experience. There is nothing extra inside the equipment, but usable, only the bathroom has an unpleasant musty smell. Dinner in the form of a buffet is very tasty. Very good soup and Szeged goulash, you can forgive for waiting 40 minutes for dumplings. In the evening, go to the surprisingly hard beds and in the morning breakfast again in the form of a buffet. Breakfast is served (respectively) from 8 to 9. If you arrive at half past eight, prepare a cold coffee (there is no thermos here) and hope that your fellow visitors have left something for you, as refilling the buffet is also not possible. This also applies to dinner. Saturday dinner: soup with a faint taste. Something like china from soy meat with rice. After all, food is a variation of soy meat, and in the vegetable season, woefully cheap and affordable vegetables as such. Napkins are not provided in the dining room, no one wanted us a citizen, Wi-Fi in advance, the price is high. The photo of the dishes on the internet definitely does not correspond to the quality and idea of ​​what we received. It's a pity. The potential is great, but he just can't do it, or he doesn't understand this business. I would like to support vegan businesses, but I cannot overlook all dilettantism because of that. For me, it is definitely worth staying in a competing guest house in the Kryštof Valley and negotiating vegan food, or eating on your own.
