Pěkná a klidná obec leží asi šest kilometrů severovýchodně od Mělníka a žije tu kolem 300 obyvatel. První písemná zmínka o obci pochází z roku 1318. Tehdy prodal ves i s příslušenstvím její majitel, pan Pavel z Byšic, řádu německých rytířů. Ves ale existovala už dříve. V roce 1897 byla zprovozněna přes obec železniční trať, vedoucí z Mělníka do Mšena. Lhotka měla i svou vlastní obecnou školu, založenou roku 1884. Nice and quiet village lies about six kilometers northeast of Mělník and around 300 inhabitants live here. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1318. At that time, the village and its accessories were sold by its owner Mr. Pavel of Byšice to the Teutonic Knights. But the village surely existed before this date. In 1897 a railway line leading from Mělník to Mšeno was put into operation through the village. Lhotka also had its own primary school, founded in 1884. It worked until 1976, when it was abolished due to lack of pupils. In the village there is a rock dwelling carved in sandstone rocks. These are several cellars that previously served as emergency dwellings. One rock flat has been preserved and is currently one of the permanent exhibitions of the Mělník Regional Museum.
