On June 21, 1897, the operation of the Mělník - Mšeno railway in the length of 23.6 km leading through Lhotka was started. This railway line was built in 16 months. In 1906, it was put into operation on the entire route Mělník-Mšeno - Mladá Boleslav - Stará Paka. The stop in the village of Lhotka was allowed only in 1913. Until then, the station was in Lhotka - Dole. A stop was allowed and built in Hleďseba only in 1959. It is interesting that although the village of Lhotka is small (around 300 inhabitants), it has two railway stations. They were built in the days of steam locomotives due to their maintenance and better serviceability.
