★ ★ ★ ★ ★ U Lipan se odehrála dne 30.5.1434 poslední velká husitská bitva, ve které padl vojevůdce Prokop Holý. Památník byl postaven na kopci, zvaném Lipská hora, samotná bitva se ovšem odehrávala v širším okolí.
 The last great Hussite battle took place near Lipany on May 30, 1434, in which the military leader Prokop Holý fell. The monument was built on a hill called Leipzig Mountain, but the battle itself took place in the wider area.
