Pokud si chcete udělat udělat klidný piknik s rodinou a s dětmi, není v širém okolí lepšího místa. Auta můžou parkovat pouze před vchodem do štoly, takže vaše děti můžou všude volně pobíhat, a vy nemusíte poslouchat rachot tůrujících motorů, a dýchat smrad z jejich výfuků. V jeskyních lomu byly učiněny pozoruhodné paleontologické a archeologické nálezy. If you want to make a quiet picnic with your family and children, there is no better place in the surrounding area. This quarry is bounded by tall and steep rocks from all sides, and you can comfortably get into it only by a narrow, several-hundred-foot-long narrow corridor. That´s why cars can only park in front of the entrance to the corridor, so your kids can run around freely, and you do not have to listen to the rumbling of the car´s engines and breathe the smell of their exhausts. The Kobel Quarry was opened at the end of the 19th century for the supply of the Královodvorská cementárna. In 1898 it was connected to the narrow-gauge railway of Králův Dvůr-Beroun, with a branch to Koněprusy. The mining here ended in 1929, since then the quarry is untouched by the human hand. Inside of the area the researcher and archaeologist Jaroslav Petrbok worked (the memorial plaque is hanging on the rock on the right side in the places where the tunnel opens into the quarry itself). In the cave of the quarry, remarkable paleontological and archaeological finds were made.
If you want to have a quiet picnic with your family and children, there is no better place in the wider area. This quarry is bordered on all sides by high and steep rocks, and you can easily get into it only through a narrow, several tens of meters long gallery, where the excavated material was once exported on carts. Cars can only be parked in front of the gallery entrance, so your children can run around everywhere, and you don't have to listen to the rumble of roaring engines and breathe the stench of their exhausts.
Former quarry for pinkish limestone mining in the nature reserve Kobyla in the PLA Český kras. Mining was terminated in 1929. The quarry is accessible through a tunnel cut in a rock. The closed rock structure of the quarry is a unique place with a number of protected plant and animal species and the unique silent atmosphere of the abandoned quarry.

Krásné, zajímavé místo. Je zde plno horolezců. V lomu je malá jeskyně, dlouhá 10-15 metrů.
Beautiful, interesting place. It is full of climbers. There is a small cave in the quarry, 10-15 meters long.
