Since the 16th century, the hanging silk puppet show has been a very popular entertainment in the Czech Republic. It reached in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Gao Feng, even the famous Czech musician Smetanna wrote two sets of scripts for the puppet show.
Even under the rule of the Communist Party, the puppet show was still regarded as a national literary activity and was not prohibited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Velmi amatérské představení, ..neznalost textu vodičů, při mluvení se hýbaly všechny loutky, (tak děti nepoznaly kdo mluví), nebo nebyly slyšet vůbec, nebo mluvily zády k dětem,.... představení bylo zdlouhavé a nezáživné. Spousta děti se nudilo, rušily ostatní a dospělí se mezi sebou bavili. Některé děti si hrály na mobilu hry! Tak je to bavilo...
Very amateur performance, .. ignorance of the text of the drivers, all the puppets moved when speaking (so the children did not know who was speaking), or they were not heard at all, or they spoke with their backs to the children, .... the performance was lengthy and lifeless. Many children were bored, disturbing others, and adults having fun with each other. Some kids were playing mobile games! So it was fun ...
