About Maitrea restaurace
Restaurace Maitrea se nachází v magickém zákoutí uličky Týnská, hned vedle starého srdce Prahy, Staroměstského náměstí. Od roku 2009 zde náš mezinárodní tým objevuje chutě inspirované srdcem. Věříme totiž, že život je poháněn vášní pro rozvoj a zvědavostí vůči jeho nekonečným možnostem. Tato životní filozofie je naším rukopisem, patrná v naší vegetariánské kuchyni a fungující v symbióze s celým prostorem. Interiér je zařízený ve stylu Feng-shui, buď jako příjemná kulisa vašeho večera, nebo zážitek sám o sobě.
Obě patra naší restaurace jsou plná magických zákoutí doplněných o dvě fontány, krb, množství rostlin a zátiší se sochou Buddhy. Interiér je zhotoven z masivního dubového dřeva, přírodních barev, mramorových fontán nebo lamp z vrstveného hedvábí. Ať už si vyberete jakékoliv zákoutí; na pracovním obědě, romantické večeří či rodinné oslavě, v restauraci Maitrea bude vaše návštěva inspirována srdcem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing decor, lots of wood, plants and curvy shapes which reminds us of nature and gives a lovely harmony to the place overall. Great vegan food! Service is nice but could be a little friendlier from certain staff members.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They serve highly delicious food. And their waiter was friendly (as opposed to many other places in Prague which have rude people serving). We ordered cold starters plate for two people as appetizers and then ordered maitrea burger for two people. It was more than enough food for both of us and unfortunately we couldn't finish them all but everything on the plates were extremely tasty. Highly recommend this place!
Note: The burger plate is already missing the half of the burger because we had already started eating the other half when I took the photo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved the ambiance and the beauty of the restaurant. The service was always with a smile. The food was decent in taste and presentation. The variety was good - given that it was a vegetarian restaurant (with a few vegan options) you would expect a small menu, I expected limited options. However, the restaurant didn’t disappoint me. There is a good range of dishes to choose from.
The restaurant looked packed with different elements. There was a small water fountain, greenery, etc.
pricing was great. Given that this restaurant is at the heart of the tourist hotspot, this restaurant is very economical by that standards

Service was good, efficient and kind. Dishes were inventive, delicious, beautifully presented.
The atmosphere is fantastic.
We loved it.

The vegan goulash were just soya nuggets in goulash sauce and Thai curry was flavourful. However the portions weren't filling. In dessert section we tried strawberry crumble which was decent .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious! Love that they do veg versions of popular Czech dishes. We had the goulash, sirloin and side of potato gratin. Highly recommend them all. The sirloin is not what you expect (see pic), but don't let that put you off. It's one of those dishes you will think about and crave. Lovely space, great for date night and don't forget to book.
