★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Krásný sloup se sochou Panny Marie na náměstí dal vystavět opat broumovského kláštera Otmar Zinke v roce 1706 jako dar městu Broumov. Autorem sloupu je sochař Jan Brokoff a jeho dílna. Původní Brokoffova socha Madonny byla v roce 1828 nahrazena novou, dvojitou sochou od sochaře Gottfrieda Bóssewettera. Dílo slavnostně posvětil opat Otmar dne 13. listopadu 1706. Při této příležitosti byla vydána pamětní rytina.
The beautiful column with the statue of the Virgin Mary on the square was built by the abbot of the Broumov monastery Otmar Zinke in 1706 as a gift to the town Broumov. The author of the column is the sculptor Jan Brokoff and his workshop. Brokoff's original Madonna statue was replaced in 1828 by a new, double sculpture by sculptor Gottfried Bóssewetter. Abbot Otmar sanctified the work on November 13, 1706. A commemorative engraving was issued on this occasion.
